Reading a Korean supply contract filing
Updated 2026-10-31
When a listed company signs a large sales or supply contract it files a single sales/supply contract report (단일판매ㆍ공급계약체결). The trigger is a share of the company's revenue in the most recent fiscal year, so small companies file for smaller contracts than large ones.
Three numbers
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Contract value | Total value of the contract, usually excluding VAT. Foreign-currency contracts are converted at the filing date's rate. |
| Recent revenue | Revenue in the last fiscal year, the base for the ratio. |
| Share of revenue | Contract value divided by recent revenue. |
A ₩10B contract is 2% of revenue for a company with ₩500B in sales and 50% for one with ₩20B. That is why this site ranks contracts by share of revenue.
Check the term
Revenue from a contract is usually spread over its term. A contract worth 60% of revenue over three years adds about 20% a year. Each card shows the approximate term in months.
Subsidiary contracts
Filings for a subsidiary's contract state the share of the subsidiary's revenue, which can be far larger than its share of the group. These cards are labelled "Subsidiary".
The counterparty section
Filings also list the counterparty's own recent revenue. It is easy to confuse with the filer's revenue; this site reads the filer's figure and checks that contract value ÷ revenue matches the stated percentage. If it does not, the numbers are hidden and only the title is shown.
